4 Months!

So I took Leo to his 4 month appt yesterday! He weighs 16. 4 lbs and is 25 1/2 in tall. So he is steadily gaining 2 lbs a months (he weighed 8.8 at birth). He got his shots and CRIED! Their were students doing their internship, but I didn't mind we all have to learn somehow and plus I am going to be in their shoes SOON! :] I noticed the nurse was shaking after I know she had to be nervous! I can only imagine how I am going to feel. Hopefully I don't get any mean parents...I talked to the Doc about leo's horrible sleeping habits and she suggested CIO/Sleep training whatevs you wanna call it. So that is what we did. He cried for almost an hour last night, but I was going to every 5, 10 15 mins. etc as you are supposed to. He finally fell asleep around 8:30 and woke up at 1 a.m. fussed for about 5 mins and was back asleep until 6:20P.pm ! so my baby slept about 10 hours! I am so proud of him. I know not all parents agree with this, but this is what my ped suggested and I decided to do it. She also suggested if I wanted to, to go ahead and offer some solids. She said the AAP has changed their recommendations (as they always do). Anyways every mother knows what is best for HER child. Although we still judge...it's human nature I suppose. She also suggested the same for naps. eat, play, sleep. So I put him in his swing and he fussed for maybe 10 mins and is sleeping as I type this. Well I guess that is all for now.
